"Vacay Vibes: Jax Beach"

Cheers to summertime getaways, those much needed escapes that we are fortunate enough to get every summer. My family is very close, the kind of family that truly cherishes those rare times where everyone can take time out of their hectic day-to-day lives and just simply be together (preferably away from our hometown and on a hot beach!). This year, for the second year in a row, we headed down south to Jacksonville, FL, the super laid back beach town & vibrant city. This is truly a place for creative souls to thrive and I feel so inspired when there; even my style fits perfectly in with the beachy boho vibes.

Check out some of my favorite Polaroids and style pics from the vacay I've been missing ever since I began heading back north to good old NJ.

Bringing all of our belongings into a hotel we were spending one night in because that's how we roll

Nights spent on the beach on a Mexican blanket, wearing a Mexican poncho, with my sister by my side = the best kinds of nights.

My sister Erin & her natural born beach pup, Bailey!

I'm officially in love with the Australian brand, Arnhem, and their gorgeous prints. This is my dream brand, every piece making you feel like a gypsy princess of sorts. ;) My fav oversized Free People sunglasses go with just about everything and have become an absolute staple among my accessories!

These seventies style wide leg denim flares have turned out to be one of my favorite summer pieces. They just give that ultimate boho babe vibe, and I haven't been able to find anything similar to them since! Here I paired them with the Woodstock Tie-Dye Halter Top from Threadsense & my fav leather fringe backpack from Free People

Food Truck Cuteness!

These Blue Stardust Rimless Sunglasses are my ultimate "Penny Lane" sunnies!

Breathtaking sunrise on the beach

Cutest coffee, breakfast, & lunch joint in town, Breezy Coffee Shop Cafe ! Seriously, if you're ever in  the town of Jax Beach, stop by and enjoy delish coffee and chicken salad sandwiches!

Oh and every time I visit a new Free People store, I take a pic outside of it! It's kind of my silly little thing because of my ongoing love affair with this brand. Head to toe in FP clothing, I dropped by the Jacksonville location & did a little shopping, of course!

Feeling free with my Fujifilm Instax 210 in hand, twirling around the beach, toes in the ocean...my ultimate happy place! For summer nights like these I'm loving my Vintage Knit Poncho from Nasty Gal, another fav stop of mine for vintage and vintage inspired pieces.

70's Camp Vibes in my Camp Staff Wringer Tee and Vintage Levi's cutoffs.

Soaking up morning sun on the balcony in a FP tunic and One Teaspoon Bandit Denim Cutoffs

Night out calls for a plunging printed jumpsuit & just the right accessories.

Day shopping in the cutest town of St. Augustine in this Kimchi Blue Scarlett Fit + Flare Dress, tan ankle booties, my FP fringe backpack and fav FP sunnies

The beach, any beach, is my favorite place in the world to let loose and free my soul. I try to reflect that easy breezy boho vibe into my everyday style, but experiencing new & beautiful places really inspires me to express myself even more.

In less than three weeks I get to return to the beautiful state of Florida again for a 21st birthday getaway! Stay tuned for more summer style as it is my absolute favorite time of year for fashion... and for everything else :)

Comment with your own fav vacay styles. Where do you feel most free to express yourself?

"All About the Outfit (Christmas Recap)"

Getting dressed up is always one of my favorite parts of any occasion so when the holidays come around, I use it as an opportunity to pull out the dresses and special pieces that I wouldn't necessarily wear on just any day. I have been hanging onto this Free People headpiece since the summer, waiting for the perfect occasion to pair it with the perfect outfit, and this Christmas seemed like just as good a time as any.

For this outfit, I started with the gold Dripping Coins Headpiece and worked my way to the dress, choosing a soft, ivory lace dress by Kimchi Blue. The details of this dress are very feminine and pretty with ruffled shoulders and a see-through back, perfect for showing off my delicate side and shoulder tattoos. Luckily for me, the warmer weather made an appearance this Christmas, allowing me to get away without wearing tights. Instead, I paired the dress with my Free People Vegan Leather Hooded Jacket, (minus the detachable hood), for a more wintery look. I also like to play with the leather and lace look sometimes for a tough-meets-feminine effect. The shoes fell into place after the jacket, as these Ecote ankle booties paired well against the leather as well as any outfit sans tights at this time of year. These ankle booties have become my favorite touch to many mini dresses. Final touches consisted of creating loose waves in my hair, a middle part, and a small section of braided hair to compliment the headpiece.

And so this is my process of creating a perfect outfit for Christmas day festivities.
